THE ICEVI STORY
Glacial water is a geological miracle. Like all miracles it is rare and found only by the most determined explorers. That’s where we come in.
Over the course of several years, the ICEVI team explored all sources of ideal “live/living water”. From the mountains of Tibet to the snows of Canada – we compared different samples before discovering the perfect water in Russia’s Caucasus mountains.
Due to its natural beauty, this area has become known as the Suganskie Alps. When viewed from above, you see a green triangle tipped with the pristine white glaciers of the main ridge on one side and deep gorges with the blue threads of rivers on the other.
The glaciers of the Suganskie Alps contain vast amounts of fresh water. They are known as rock glaciers and resemble a river of rock debris, flowing beside the forests. Under metres of rock and stone crystal clear ice water is hidden. The glacier we chose for ICEVI water is located at an altitude of 3 500 metres.
The glacial source of ICEVI water was created thousands of years ago, long before the Industrial Revolution. Before it froze, it was untouched by humans. And as a result, ICEVI retains the planet’s purity, something we can never get back.

ICEVI is very close to human blood
42% of the people aged one hundred or above live in the Caucasus mountains. The locals put this long life expectancy down to “heavy water”. Or rather the lack of it.
Heavy water has the same chemical formula as normal water. But instead of common hydrogen atoms (protium), heavy water contains two atoms of the heavy isotope of hydrogen – deuterium.
Heavy water is found everywhere, but in different concentrations. In one tonne of river water there are around 150 grams of heavy water. In ocean water – 165 grams. And in a tonne of lake water – 170 grams. In glacier water though, the concentration of heavy water is reduced.
It is believed that heavy water slows down the body’s metabolism and speeds up the ageing process. That is why some researchers have made the link between the long-living locals in the Caucuses and the lack of heavy water in their glacial rivers.
